Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Find My Maid mobile applications and website (together, the “Service”). The Service is also branded as FindMyMaid in app stores. By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Find My Maid helps users discover independent home helpers and contact them by phone or third-party messaging (e.g. WhatsApp). We are a technology platform only. We do not employ helpers, we are not a placement agency, and we do not guarantee identity, background, skill level, or availability. We do not process payroll or domestic-worker wages inside the app.
1a. No verification — introduction-only platform
Find My Maid is a discovery and introduction tool only. The app shows the contact details and publicly listed information of independent helpers near your location so that you can reach them directly. We do not verify, screen, vet, background-check, train, supervise, or endorse any user — whether they sign up as a family or as a helper. Any verification badge, rating, review, or category shown in the app is informational and is not a guarantee of identity, qualifications, conduct, criminal history, immigration status, or suitability.
You are fully responsible for performing your own checks before hiring, meeting, transacting with, or allowing any other user into your home, including (without limitation):
- Confirming the identity and references of the person you are contacting.
- Verifying any documents (Aadhaar, PAN, police clearance, work permit, visa, etc.) directly with the person and the issuing authority.
- Agreeing wages, hours, leave, and other terms of any work arrangement directly between you and the helper, outside the app.
- Complying with all applicable local labour, tax, immigration, and safety laws.
We are not a party to any contract, agreement, payment, or relationship that arises between users. We are not liable for the conduct (online or offline) of any user, for any loss, theft, injury, harassment, fraud, or damage that may result from contact made through the app, or for the accuracy of any information posted by users. Any complaints about another user should first be raised with the appropriate local authorities.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The Service is not intended for users under the age of 13 (or the higher age required where you live).
3. Accounts and conduct
- Provide accurate information. Sign-in uses your mobile number and a one-time SMS code; keep your device secure.
- Use respectful communication when contacting others.
- Comply with applicable laws, including labour, immigration, tax, and safety rules in your region.
- Do not misuse the Service (no harassment, fraud, spam, malware, or scraping).
4. Subscriptions and payments
Optional paid features may be offered through Apple App Store and/or Google Play. Prices, billing periods, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the applicable store’s rules and your platform account settings. To the extent permitted by law, subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by the store or applicable consumer law.
5. Third-party services and store terms
If you access the Service through Apple or Google, their terms and privacy policies also apply (including payment processing). You acknowledge that Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service’s content, maintenance, or support, except as required by their policies.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including branding, design, and software, is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal or internal business purposes in line with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the Service except where allowed by law.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE (AND OUR AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, AND EMPLOYEES) ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR OFFLINE ARRANGEMENTS BETWEEN USERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED INDIAN RUPEES (₹100), EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your offline agreements with other users, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.
11. Governing law
Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer to bring claims in your country of residence where required by law.
12. Changes
We may modify these Terms. We will post the updated version on this website with a new effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
